With the promotion of Dan Anderson to Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Officer his vehicle became licensed by the State of Florida as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) response unit.  EMS Officer Anderson and his immediate supervisor Training Chief Bobby Thayer will conduct all medical training and respond to scenes as needed within the District.  EMS Officer Anderson’s primary responsibility will be advanced and basic life support training on site at District’s five (5) stations, allowing crews to remain in zone, providing for more directed on-site training, quicker response times by responding from quarters and a higher level of care available when EMS Officer Anderson is at the station(s).
