Back on November 5th, 2019, Southern Manatee Fire Rescue District and Sarasota County Fire Department participated in a joint public education event at The Haven located at 4405 Desoto Road. The Haven is an inclusionary school for all ages.
While conducting this educational event, Lieutenant Adam Chevalier began talking to the staff at the school to determine if we could assist them in purchasing a new multi-passenger stroller. This stroller allows for six (6) kids to be transported around campus by one staff member.
On Tuesday, December 17 at 0930 hours, members from the Southern Manatee Fire Rescue District Benevolent, Sarasota County Fire Department – Sarasota Firefighters Benevolent and Local 2546 presented the staff of The Haven with checks for the purchase of this new stroller.
