To kick off this year’s Fire Prevention Week, the Southern Manatee Fire Rescue District will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Fire Station #3 located at 7611 Prospect Road. Our Open House will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. During this time period there will be various Fire, Haz-Mat and EMS apparatus on display, live demonstrations by your firefighters with various lifesaving equipment, smoke alarm demonstrations in our safety house, and free educational material over fire and life safety tips. There will also be displays from the Division of Forestry, Florida Highway Patrol, Florida Wildlife Commission and the Emergency Communication Center (9-1-1) and much more.
