On Wednesday, August 24, 2016, the Sarasota County Board of County Commissioners held a special ceremony for all of the agencies that assisted Sarasota County Fire Department on the 6 Alarm Structure Fire that occurred at the Packinghouse Café and Warehouse in the early morning hours of June 17th, 2016.
The Sarasota County Commissioners presented each agency with a Certificate of Recognition and Appreciation for their superior service, professionalism and teamwork that was provided during this major fire incident.
Southern Manatee Fire Rescue District sent two Engines to this early morning fire. Additional Engines and Ladder Trucks came from Longboat Key Fire Department, Venice Fire Department, Nokomis Fire Department, North Port Fire Department and Englewood Fire Department.
