On Friday, January 1, 2021, Saturday, January 2, Sunday, January 3 and Monday, January 4, 2021, Southern Manatee Fire Rescue District Paramedic’s assisted the Manatee County Health Department and Manatee County EMS / Public Safety in the administration of the “Moderna” COVID-19 vaccination to members of the public 65 and older. The vaccine site was located at the Tom Bennett Park off State Road 64 and was set up as drive through site. The immunizations will continue weekly and will be posted on the Manatee County Government’s website at www.mymanatee.org/vaccine . Immunizations are by appointment only and the slots do fill quickly. At this website members of the public can also download the required vaccination forms.
