On Thursday, July 20, 2017, the Southern Manatee Fire Rescue District swears in two new Firefighter/EMT’s at the beginning of their monthly Commission meeting. Month’s back the District had some retirements and began the employment process utilizing candidates obtained through the National Testing Network (NTN). After completion of the entire process, Cliff Smith and Mark Bauer were made job offers and accepted. Both individuals are Firefighter/EMT’s and both are Veterans.
Firefighter/EMT Cliff Smith is assigned to Station 1 B-Shift and Firefighter/EMT Mark Bauer is assigned to Station 1 C-Shift. The District welcomes our two new Firefighter/EMT’s.
