On Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 1700 hours, the Southern Manatee Fire Rescue District held their annual Awards Ceremony/Banquet. This year’s event was held at the Bradenton Moose Lodge #1223, 310 44th Avenue East, Bradenton.
The Southern Manatee Fire Rescue District Auxiliary did an outstanding job with the planning, menu and set up of this year’s awards banquet.
After dinning on the great food, the District presented the following employee’s with the following awards for 2018:
Rookie of the Year – Firefighter/EMT Mike Dunois
Firefighter of the Year – Firefighter/EMT Dwayne McKeaver
Officer of the Year – Battalion Chief/EMT Adam Perry
Staff Employee of the Year – Logistic Manager Larry Sarver
Additionally each member of the Auxiliary was given a plaque for their hard work and dedication in providing fund raisers to family picnic’s for the firefighters and their families this past year. This past year the Auxiliary raised funds through garage sales to assist in paying for this banquet. A huge THANKS to our Auxiliary!
