The Southern Manatee Fire Rescue District is pleased to announce the promotion of Deputy Chief of Operations Ricardo Blanco to the position of Assistant Chief and Training Captain Robert Thayer to the position of Training Chief. These individuals have shown leadership and knowledge in the field of firefighting. We are confident that their special skills and experience will be a great asset in their new positions.
Both Assistant Chief Blanco and Training Captain Thayer are receiving ribbons for 30 years of service.
