COVID-19: GET EDUCATED

Southwest Florida is home to numerous types of natural disasters including coastal flooding, hurricanes and wildfires. Our objective is to educate you, the constituents that we serve, so that you may be informed, and thus prepared, for emergencies that may evolve in our area.

Due to the seriousness of the coronavirus outbreak, this page is currently focused on educating you on what you need to know about the situation.

EDUCATION IS KEY

In order to stay current on what is happening with the virus, Southern Manatee Fire & Rescue is in regular contact with our local and statewide governmental partners including both the Manatee County and State of Florida Departments of Health.

We also closely monitor updates from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), both of which provide valuable information and data from national and global perspectives. Here, we provide you with educational information on the virus as well as links to pertinent websites that provide useful information on COVID-19 so that you may stay informed as well.
